Dr. Maria Channell has worked in the field of child clinical psychology for more than a decade. She has practiced in numerous cities throughout the United States and Canada, and currently works as a consultant for the public school system in Massachusetts in addition to conducting outpatient treatment with children and families.
When in California, Dr. Channell was employed as a clinical director at a residential treatment facility for severely emotionally disturbed children.
Dr. Channell’s writing credits include articles published in the Archives of Disease in Childhood and the Canadian Journal of Psychology. In addition, she has been a contributing author to papers and posters presented at both national and international conferences.
She received a B.Sc. in Psychology from McMaster University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Western Michigan University. Dr. Channell lives with her husband and two children in Leominster, Massachusetts. This is her first novel.
